In Term 1 we had a bit of Water Wise, we did a bit of kayaking and we learnt how to sail on optis, we also wrote recounts. We also made native birds of New Zealand pictures with Mrs Murray. I did a kiwi.

It was a dark, gloomy night near the river, the stars glimmered in the darkness, the river water lapped against the rocks on the river bank. Lightning Strike was the leader of the River Clan, River Clan was a small clan. The cats were following Lightning Strike into the bushes. " Shh, someone is coming," whispered Heather Paw, the rising warrior. Lightning Strike peeked. There stood a small dog about the size of a cat and had a collar with the name "Barks" on it."Hello, my name is Barks I am the guide to the forest",he barked."If you are finding the gem of the forest will guide you," he said mysteriously. "Great! W were trying to find the gem of the forest because it could heal the cats of our clan," Lightning Strike meowed happily."Well..." Barks barked slowly. "We already know it heals the cats" said one of the River Clan cats."I will give you the enchanted mirror so you can communicate with me on your journey" Barks said." You can also talk to me through it". So they set off on there journey to find the gem of the forest. "There are three steps" said the mirror,"First you have a battle against Thunder Clan, the a obstacle, Finally a battle against the guards that guard the gem of the forest." The next day they came to the Thunder Clan camp, one of the Thunder Clan cats noticed the River Clan cats. They fought and fought until the Thunder Clan cats gave up and they won. Second there was a river they had to cross, it was very rough and if a cat's paw went into the river water the water would drag the cat off the river bank. But luckily there was some rocks leading to the other side of the river. Finally they saw the Guards of the Gem of the Forest... It was quite hard, there was blood stains on Lightning Strike' s fur. One of the guards swords clashes against Lightning Strike's leg. Blood poured everywhere.Heather Paw helped Lightning Strike up,"Thank You", Lightning Strike said weakly. Later the battle ended and they took the Gem of the Forest home so could heal the cats and after that they celebrated and lived in peace after the battle. The End Here are some of the cats:
